Size doesn’t affect style: Be bold and beautiful

Whilst for those of us blessed with confidence wearing bold clothes is not a challenge, for those who struggle with confidence, low self esteem can result in a limited choice when it comes to fashion. But as more and more plus size models and bloggers shoot into the limelight, there is a flourishing outlook within the fashion industry that a woman’s size should not affect her fashion options. Notably, plus size blogger Callie Thorpe has inspired body confidence, accruing a mass following in the process as her blog From the Corner of the Curve has drawn in the attention of the public eye.

Callie once struggled with low body confidence herself, revealing on her blog that she ‘spent a lot of her adult life hating [her] body’, and admitting that she regrets ‘wasting so many ways feeling that way’ about herself. It is such highlighted realisations of society’s warped view on ‘normal’ body size which inspires pro-body confidence movements aimed at liberating women from hangups about their body size. At idaretobe, we could not support such movements more strongly: as our brand name suggests, we feel that all women should dare to be bold! Our range of plus size clothing is designed to encourage women with fuller figures to embrace their body, drawing attention to themselves rather than feeling the need to ‘hide’ their size under muted clothes.

The idaretobe woman is not afraid to stand out from the crowd, and she refuses to allow body confidence issues to affect her style choices. Encouraging women to be bold regardless of their size, at idaretobe we create striking styles to embellish confidence. Vivid, eye-catching prints are a key feature of our clothing: we believe that body confidence is extremely important, and that daring to wear clothes which help to create an individual, unique plus size look is the ideal way to boost your confidence! Getting creative with colours, patterns, and lagenlook styles, plus sized women are no longer confined to the limitations imposed by high street fashion which is often tailored to flatter petite figures only: with idaretobe, the ethos is that style does not affect size, and we encourage all women to adopt the mentality of Callie Thorpe!
